These are the not-so-wolf-like dogs (at least, to me. for the more wolf-like, look at my other chart).

Shiba inu are up there because they act wolf-like supposedly.

NOTE: The images used to create this were not personally taken by me, but are either creative commons images or images I have permission to use. They are for educational purposes only! Please do not post elsewhere as you have not painstakingly contacted each copyright holder to ask for permission or I have searched for them myself!!

If there is a species missing, it is because there were not any good quality free-use/creative commons photos available. (you should also check my other charts for the species you are looking for)

The body picture for the Siberian Husky is an Alaskan Klee Kai, they look a LOT like huskies but smaller.

All beautiful dogs! Although I had the misfortune of working with a Shiba Inu once. I had to train him for a friend. It had the shortest attention span, would bark once, and horribly loud, and would insist on tearing everything up. Those dogs are not good for first time owners who are never around >.>

Ah, I now see how they are wolf like. I've had the courtesy of talking to many wolf owners and that is exactly how they describe wolves...

Yeah, honestly you have to get them when their puppies and be super strict. Or else they're near impossible to handle. Or at least, by anyone else other then the person enacting the rules primarily. They only like to listen to one person at a time. I actually compared him more to a cat. Yeah. It was like trying to train a destructive, rude, hyper cat :P

haha yeah they're little monsters. And escape artists. And every time they bark it WILL make you jump. They only need to bark once. But it's so loud and there's no warning it'll shoot you right up.
Good things about the dog though. I mean its a perfect size, and really beautiful, and totally worth it if you spend a lot of time with them.

Love Shiba Inu's, the can be incredibly loyal to a family if they are trained properly. But yes, you need to be a vigilant owner. ^^ Still my favourite dog, absolutely beautiful. Glad to see it on the list.. and thank you so much for these lovely resources!
